The manager was so friendly and brought us a tray with coffee, cups, sugar, and everything we needed for our mornings. The room was clean and cozy, with a great view of Chimney Rock mountain. We’d been away for two years, and coming back to Chimney Rock felt reminiscent of pre-Hurricane Helene. There’s also coffee in the office area, plus a snack machine, ice, books, and a peaceful sitting spot by a small pond and waterfall. I especially liked the rocking chairs overlooking the road, where you can see the river across the street. Good prices, too.

Tabitha took such good care of us, she’s the best. The Mimosa cottage is precious, and it’s a nice little inn in a great spot. We love the Chimney Rock area and are so happy to see it coming to life again. Can’t wait to come back. ❤️

The best part was the setting at the end of the property, by a driveway that black bears used each night on their way to the Rocky Broad River and back. Pure magic. The views of Chimney Rock and the river are another reason we’ll return to Ladybug Cottage as often as we can. We were there over Labor Day weekend, and the cottage was cozy and immaculate. The bed was comfortable, the linens were fresh and new, and the quilt kept us warm with the windows open to the mountain air. We didn’t use the microwave or dishes, but appreciated having them and the mini fridge. There’s also a lovely waterfall feature and a pool.

For our child’s first family trip to the mountains, they made her feel extra special with a note and hot chocolate at the morning coffee station. The room was cute, clean, and nicely decorated, and the location was just right for getting to chimney rock state park and lake lure. We absolutely loved our stay and will be back!

The staff were so caring, and the view was amazing. It’s a great hotel for a peaceful, well-run retreat where you feel like more than just a guest. I can’t recommend this hidden gem enough.
