AC Hotel Portland Lake Oswego

We enjoyed our stay, and there was plenty of parking. The rooms were lovely and spacious, with a king bed for two and a top-notch shower head. The hotel looks new, or at least very well maintained. The clear-window elevator is cool because you can see the floor as you go up. It was hard to spot the hotel while driving in the dark, though. I think all the trees were the reason. Happy Martin Luther King Day.

The room was pretty nice and large, and the heated pool wasn’t cold. But the hot tub wasn’t very hot, and its bubbles were inconsistent and seemed broken. On our last day I got in with the bubbles off, then one of the heating jets suddenly released bubbles and smelled horrible. My throat and chest burned really badly. Breakfast the next morning cost extra, and the eggs I ordered without bacon had pieces of bacon in them. I’m vegetarian. The bar also doesn’t make mocktails. When we first arrived, the front desk person seemed very unprofessional and dropped a bunch of things, though I assumed he was new. I also heard employees gossiping in Spanish and could make out a few bad words. I’m extremely disappointed in this stay.

Myra and the team at the Hotel Restaurant were fantastic, with top-notch service and real attention to customers. Chef Ali also went out of his way to make us something unique during our stay. I loved the modern European feel of the place. I’d highly recommend it whether you’re visiting for work or a weekend away.

I’ve stayed here twice and really like the hotel. The staff have been super friendly, and the location is convenient. My one complaint is that the balcony doors need better insulation to keep drafts out.
