Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Lake Oswego

The front desk staff were the best, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast attendants were wonderful too, especially an older woman who always said good morning and checked that we had everything. I travel all around the world and the US, and this is a must-stay away from the city of Portland. It’s close to the freeway and a convenient drive to nature parks and the best waterfalls outside Portland. My family and I all felt it was more like a three-star hotel than a two-star one.

Heidi, the breakfast assistant, went above and beyond to make our stay lovely, which really touched us. The front desk was helpful, and breakfast was very nice. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated. It was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at, and a great value for the money. We’ll stay here again.

We’ve stayed at the Lake Oswego location twice, and its proximity to OHSU is handy. The facility is very clean, the service professional, and the rates and breakfast are average. I felt safe and secure there. We didn’t use the other amenities, but they looked clean and in good condition too. It was an awesome experience, and we’ll definitely return. Thanks, everyone.

The morning front desk team and Hotel Manager rescued the experience. They were professional and empathetic, took full responsibility for the staff mistake, and the Manager gave a sincere apology. Housekeeping needs better training, though. A manual error by the night shift staff checked me out at 2 AM without my asking, so housekeeping entered my room at 9:15 AM without knocking. When I raised it, housekeeping manager Daphanee was incredibly rude and defensive. Also, there’s no more hot tub next to the pool. You can hear footsteps from the ceiling.
