Days Inn Wildwood I-75

The laundry setup was handy, with several machines and simple tap-to-pay. The staff were kind and helpful throughout, and our room was clean, though the renovation work looked a little rough. We were in town for a tournament and stayed at Days Inn by Wyndham Wildwood I-75, but the experience had a few snags. Our first room's toilet wouldn't flush. Someone came promptly and was accommodating, even offering to hold another room for us. When the problem came back, we switched rooms. The sink in the second room drained poorly too, but we didn't report it because we didn't want to move yet again. Breakfast was advertised, but the choices were sparse and mostly carbs, such as waffles and biscuits with gravy. There wasn't any protein, and the waffles tasted off enough that we tossed them and went out to eat. I also hadn't realized when booking that the rooms had exterior entrances, motel-style. It made the property seem like an older motel that had been renovated later. The clean room and friendly staff were positives, but the maintenance problems and overall stay would probably keep me from coming back.

I can't really rate the motel beyond this attempt to book. The phone line sent me through an AI bot before putting me through to a person, which was what I wanted from the start. Then the person tried to enroll me in their supposedly secret discount club for the room, and wanted a whole lot of information. Twenty minutes passed and I still had no room, so I hung up. If I can't find another motel that doesn't seem to need a note from my mom, I guess I'll have to try again.

The hotel seemed a little dated, which makes sense for what it costs. What stood out was the staff, who were friendly and helpful. Even though I arrived very late to check in, I got a warm welcome.

I loved the pillows, and the room was very clean. The man who checked me in was friendly, too. I'm not in a wheelchair, but I need grab bars to get into the shower, and the handicap shower worked perfectly for me. There was a freezer in the fridge, so I could store a bag of ice.
