Best Western Plus Lake Worth Inn & Suites

Everything was neat and clean, and the location worked well for us. Breakfast was just okay and could use improvement, but we still had a nice stay.

I was unsure about being on the first floor beside the elevator, but the room was really quiet. The trees and bushes outside the windows helped keep the road noise down, and everything was clean. The young man who checked us in and out was very polite and helpful, and the breakfast attendant was great. My son has Autism and is very particular about food. I’d brought backup food, but he really wanted a chocolate muffin, so the attendant suggested trying chocolate chips with his yogurt. Everyone we met was friendly. This was probably one of my best stays at Best Western.

The room was older and could use some TLC. The fridge was frozen up and wouldn’t cool. They offered to keep our things in the front desk fridge, which I appreciated, but I declined because that wouldn’t have been convenient. It would’ve been nice if they’d brought over a working fridge from another room. My mom and I were in town for a family funeral. The staff were friendly, and management even ran out to return the pillow I’d left behind. The shower pressure was nice, the AC blew cold, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was decent. I appreciated the bath products, though I’m not a fan of the citrus scent. It was a fine stay, but since this was a Plus property, I expected it to be nicer than the “lower” brand I’d stayed at in another town on the way to Ft. Worth.

We’ve stayed here every time we visit Fort Worth, usually 6-10 times a year. This time, we were unexpectedly charged a $100 deposit, and at checkout the front desk employee refused to return it, saying the room smelled like smoke. During our stay, though, we and other guests had already complained about a strong weed smoke smell in the rooms and hallways. The way it was handled left us concerned that some staff may not be properly recording or returning deposits. We can’t tell whether that involves the front desk, housekeeping, or both, but it didn’t feel transparent or fair. The lack of professionalism means we won’t stay here again.
