I rented a room here in an emergency. At first, the staff were wonderful helpers when I was begging for help. But the room was dirty, with cockroaches everywhere, including on the bed. There were no window blinds for privacy, no shower curtain, and the bathtub was dirty with a plunger sitting in it. The stove didn’t work, and I wasn’t given a room key. Of the people living at the motel, about two thirds were nice and one third weren’t. I told Les I needed a room for a couple of days, but he pushed me to book a week or two. On a previous visit with my ex, I couldn’t stay and asked for a refund. Les first offered $500, half of what I’d paid, but when I explained I was on disability and didn’t have much money, he refunded the full amount. This last time, I paid $500 for two nights and got no refund. I checked in early because of an emergency and didn’t notice the small and medium cockroaches all over the bed at first. I also had no key, so I had to wait for someone to find one and open the door. I had a Parkinson episode outside for half an hour before someone let me in. My medication was inside the room I’d paid for, and I still didn’t have my own key 🙃. In the morning, there was no staff in the office. I called Les and said I didn’t want the room because it had no privacy and cockroaches everywhere, and that I was leaving town and wouldn’t be back. He didn’t return the $500. After I left, I couldn’t get back into the room I’d paid for because I still had no key. On the third morning, I packed my things, waited in front of the office, and called and texted Les on his cell that Sunday. He didn’t respond. When I saw him in person, I explained again that the room was nasty, with roaches even on the bed, and that I was leaving to stay with a friend in another town. I asked for my money back. While I waited for my Uber, I suddenly needed the bathroom. I asked his wife if I could use it, but she looked unwelcoming and wouldn’t let me in. She asked her son to unlock the room I’d returned so I could use its bathroom. I’m disabled and homeless, and Les knew my situation, but he kept my money for five days I wasn’t there. I told him I would report him to BBB if he didn’t refund me, and he threatened my ex over something he didn’t even do. We’re no longer together, and I still haven’t received my money. I’m so disappointed that people with a family and a job would rob someone like me. I hope the owner, Steven, reads this, understands my situation, and tells the staff to do what’s right for a homeless, disabled woman instead of ripping her off. On Thanksgiving day, I prayed God would help me through this. I’m homeless and on disability, with $500 to survive, and he charged me that much for a nasty two-night stay. I hope they reconsider refunding me. God bless 🙌. AMEN 🙏

Lester worked incredibly hard and was amazing. Thank you, and all the best in 2026.

I just wrapped up a month at the Capri and loved it. It’s a lovely boutique like motel, clean, with a beautiful setting and close to everything. Les, the manager, was always around to help or just say hello. It’s very dog friendly, with lots of places to walk your pet. It really felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

I stayed for a week and would come back. My room was very clean, right off the pool, and the whole property was kept up nicely. Lester and his wife were kind and made me feel safe. The price was excellent, and it was convenient to anything I needed. Thanks, Les, for your hospitality and great management. God bless.

We reserved a suite THREE MONTHS ahead, but arrived at the Capri very late after unexpected travel problems. After what felt like a 30-minute wait for help, I got a cryptic text saying we couldn’t stay there and had to go somewhere else in town. We’d driven 15 hours and were desperate for sleep, so we drove around anxiously trying to find the place. We were sent to a sketchy, random building, given door codes in the dark, and told to look for keys in fake plastic plants. The room was tiny, dirty, and had no working lock. Inside was a little futon that could fit one person, without sheets or blankets, plus dirty pillows with no cases and no towels. I was crying and close to losing it. At 4am, my husband and I got back in the car to find a real hotel where we could sleep for a few hours. I’m outraged by how unprofessional and uncaring this was. Whoever took my reservation couldn’t have cared less about our needs or safety. He still hasn’t called or texted to check if we were safe or find out what happened. The Capri has gone downhill in a hurry and is off our list. Don’t waste your time there. Find somewhere the staff actually care that you’re safe.
