Hampton Inn & Suites Lakeland-South Polk Parkway

The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly, but I think I'll stay somewhere else next time I'm in the area. We arrived late, and at first I thought someone had used way too much bleach cleaning the bathroom. After a long day of travel, I just wanted to sleep. Then I realized the smell was coming from the AC, and it was musty, moldy bleach. The toilet also kept flushing and refilling about every nine minutes. We told the front desk in the morning, and they moved us to another room for the second night.

Dolly, the serving lady downstairs at breakfast, was so kind and helpful. She looked after us whenever we came down, and we loved chatting with her. She made our experience ten times better.

This was another comfortable business trip, and the staff were courteous and helpful, as usual. I'll keep staying at this location when I'm in the area because I know I'll get good service. The location is right among dining, movies, and shopping, and you can walk to the entertainment once you've parked without crossing any major roads. I liked having the bed facing the window, a swiveling TV, and a bed tray for food or devices. The bathroom was spacious and well lit. The one thing I missed was a full-length mirror so I could check my daily wardrobe choices.

Dolly was so kind at breakfast and helped us a lot. She's the sweetest, always cleaning up and serving our food, and right there whenever we needed anything. She made the experience wonderful.
