The breakfast was a highlight, and it changed a little from day to day so it always tasted fresh. Staff were friendly, and my wife kept finding excuses to head down for coffee. We also liked the lounge for taking a quiet break. The hotel feels fresh, clean, and pretty, with shops close by and major parks not too far away. That made it easy to stay near the parks without paying outrageous prices or being surrounded by huge crowds. It was too cold to try the pool, but the area looked nice, and kids would probably enjoy it.

The hotel is new, very clean throughout, and the suites are spacious, with a good sized kitchenette and bathroom. It’s also close to the interstate, restaurants, and shopping. The only reason this stay disappointed me was the front desk clerk’s manner. Nobody was at the desk when we arrived. A young woman came over after visiting the cookie bar and logged in while chewing, without looking up or acknowledging us until we spoke. During check-in she didn’t make eye contact, and when someone in our group asked questions, she directed her replies to another person instead. I know people can have good and bad days, but someone representing the company should pay attention to how they come across. It’s a very nice hotel and a good place to stay, but after that experience I wouldn’t choose it again.

I keep staying here because it’s convenient when I’m working in the area, but the room cleanliness has been an ongoing problem. I’ve found dirty dishes, a used Q-tip tucked into a coffee lid in the silverware drawer, and this time an empty beer can in the freezer. Seeing those things makes me wonder what else in the room is being missed.

The breakfast was hot and had more than pastries and cereal, and the rooms were clean. Everyone working there was really nice. Nathan at the front desk was especially helpful and got us a room near the rest of our group. We’ll stay again.
