Holiday Inn Express Suites Tacoma South Lakewood

The pancakes at breakfast were a favorite, and my grandson had a great time in the pool and hot tub. I came from Minnesota to visit my son, grandson, and daughter, and this was a great place to stay. It's clean and modern, with very comfortable rooms and beds. Luciana and Michelle at the front desk were kind and helpful. We enjoyed the visit, and I'd definitely stay again.

The seasonal and holiday decorations are always lovely, and they're the first thing you notice coming in. We visit this Holiday Inn Express often and love staying here. The whole place is consistently clean, from the parking area and waiting and breakfast spaces to the rooms. Staff are always quick to greet us warmly. Kayla, Lucy, Kennia, and Lizzie at the front desk are terrific and go out of their way to handle our needs. Housekeeping is kind, does a better-than-great job, and always passes with a smile. This is by far the best Holiday Inn Express we've stayed at.

Kayla turned a frustrating pool problem into a much better stay. When she later saw me with my kids, she offered them a free snack and juice without being asked, since they hadn't been able to enjoy the pool much. I had been thinking about requesting a refund, but her kindness and care changed how I felt. She made us feel valued. Thank you, Kayla, for going above and beyond. We'd booked the weekend so the kids could swim indoors and have breakfast before going back to school Monday. When we arrived Sunday, the pool area was freezing. I asked if the heat could be turned up and was told maintenance would come, but no one showed up right away. Later at the desk, Kayla explained that the heater wasn't working temporarily. She offered to have someone close the windows, and it made a noticeable difference.

Abdul was especially friendly and helpful, and his warm manner made our stay even better. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our family also really enjoyed the nice, well-maintained pool area. It was a pleasant, relaxing visit, and we'd happily come back.
