Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Lakin

The staff are the reason I'd come back. I left two outfits hanging in the room, and since I live five hours away, I figured they were gone. The manager took it upon herself to send them to me. That kind of personal care means a lot. Thank you! The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the weekend breakfast had good options that even my kids would eat.

Those beds need replacing. They're really hard, with cold, hard plastic covers, and I found them terribly uncomfortable. The shower curtain could use a proper cleaning or a new one. This place isn't busy, so they have time to scrub it. Terrible.

This was my second stay, and I slept well again. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks so much for having me, Cobblestone Inn and Suites Lakin, Kansas. I could carry on with my journey the next day feeling rested.

I stopped at the desk this morning because we needed towels, hand towels, and washcloths. We got towels only. They also took the shower mat and bar of soap without replacing either, emptied the bathroom trash but left the room trash, and didn't put a new bag in that bin. The shower wand needs fixing too. Its pole fixture is broken, so the wand is stuck behind the handicap rail. The accessible shower had a built-in bench, but it's too far back in the tub. They need to add an extension to the shower wand. There were plenty of handrails, which was nice. The hotel itself is clean and well kept. Weekday breakfast had sausage gravy and biscuits, along with the usual toast, waffles, bagels, pastries, yogurt, boiled eggs, and drinks. On weekends they add ham and scrambled eggs, which makes breakfast better.
