Rodeway Inn

The room was clean and everything else was good. There were some stains on the bedding and towels, which I hope they'll take care of. In my opinion, it's the nicest motel in town, and I'd definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

There isn't much in the room besides a bed, TV, mini fridge, and office chair, with nowhere to keep your clothes. The floor hadn't been swept when we arrived, so I wiped it with a wet towel. I asked the front desk for a broom and was told they don't have any. The vending machine doesn't work either. There's no hot breakfast or maid service, and it's no longer part of the Choice Privileges program. This place has gone downhill since I stayed two years ago. Not worth staying here.

The one good thing was being close enough to visit family without driving to Great bend. Next time I'll make the 20-mile drive, because this room wasn't worth the price. My husband and I thought there might be dog mess stains on the tile, though it could just be part of the tile, and the room smelled like dog urine. The bed was uncomfortable, so bring a couple of pillows. I was charged $89, but my account shows $101. It was a basic room with no coffee. You had to call someone to come unlock it. He arrived quickly, but having to do that was inconvenient.

I've stayed here several times while visiting family, and it was mostly decent before. I won't be back. The sheets were filthy on our first night, with hair, dirt, and bodily fluids on them. In mid-March, the heater only blew cold air, and we shivered through the night. I asked the front desk to check it, but nobody came. When we returned at 9pm on our third night, it was still blowing cold. The person at the desk barely acknowledged me and said she'd pass it on to the day staff. She seemed more interested in going outside to smoke than helping me find a way to stay warm. They didn't offer extra blankets or let me change rooms, even though plenty were empty. It was a truly horrible experience, and I put up with it for three days. Don't believe them when they say they'll fix a complaint.
