Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Las Cruces by IHG

We’ve stayed here for a softball tournament two years in a row, and all the staff, including Nick, were helpful and accommodating. I work in customer service, so I know people can be irritable when they’re tired from traveling all day. The motel has no breakfast or blow dryers, but it has what we needed for a comfortable weekend, including washer and dryer access, which is a plus for tournaments. My stay was fine, and I haven’t seen any drop-off in ownership. It’s a motel, and you get what you pay for. My room hadn’t been remodeled, but it was clean and tidy. The older TV had a remote, and the picture and sound worked perfectly well. The AC was already on and freezing, which was great until I had to turn it down at night because my bones started to freeze. The shower got hot right away and stayed hot for me and my teammates. When we asked for towels on the second day, they were exchanged within 10 minutes. We didn’t deal with the white woman, but Nick, whose English was perfectly understandable. We talked about business for around 30 minutes one night. He also proved honest when he found my wallet outside the front office, called my room, and returned it before I even realized I’d dropped it. There was about $200 cash inside. I handed him a $20 without hesitation, and he said the staff would enjoy lunch the next day. It was a selfless thing for him to do. Thanks to Nick and the staff. I hope you keep building this motel in a positive direction. It’ll take hard work, but I think it can happen with good attitudes.
