Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa

The pool was the one thing that improved our stay. The restaurant selection was great, and the staff were great too, but my husband and I were very disappointed in the room. We’d driven 1,200 miles to stay here and expected it to match its 5 star resort rating. There was hair all over the tub, shower, floor, and carpet. The nightstands were dusty, and the bathroom surfaces hadn’t been wiped. We reported it at the front desk. They were polite, changed our room right away, and gave us a $50 dining credit, but nobody checked whether the new room was clean. It also looked like nothing had been wiped down or vacuumed. If the stay hadn’t been non refundable, we absolutely would have left for another hotel. I forgot to mention that the shower makes a super high pitched noise the entire time you use it. The grout throughout the bathroom and shower was very dirty, and the shower head was like one at a motel 6, not a 5 star resort. We also lost power for four hours. The desk didn’t contact us or let us know what was happening. We only learned why the toilet, water, and WiFi weren’t working when the restaurant we’d reserved called to cancel, since the whole casino had lost power. Hotel staff didn’t apologize or even inform us about the issue. There was a concert on Friday night right outside the hotel at the pool, with room shaking music until midnight. We’d booked to get away from the Strip and noise, but we could have stayed on the Strip for much cheaper.

We won’t be coming back. The bathroom lights quit working the next morning, and the help we asked for never arrived. I called the desk in the evening and was told an AI bot would send someone. Twenty minutes passed, so I called again around 11. They said someone was on the way, but nobody showed up. The room stayed miserably hot all night, even with the AC set as low as it would go. We could also hear loud construction near the pool at 10 p.m. from the 19th floor. My wife and I expected a nice getaway at Red Rock, but the service felt like a motel while the prices were casino level. Paying that much to sweat, hear construction, and get brushed off when asking for basic help is unacceptable.

The Lucky Penny’s steak and egg special was fantastic, and the coffee kept coming. We also had a good time on the slots and managed to play for a while before losing our money. At the players desk, they got us set up with the Station Casinos app, which even has a slot finder, and gave us some Golden Knights swag and $5 in free play. Well worth the drive. We’ll definitely be back. Five stars.

We usually stay at MGM properties on the Strip when we come to Vegas, about 3-4 times a year, but we always rent a car so we can spend a day at Red Rock casino. It’s a beautiful spot, with lots of food choices, a movie theater, plenty of new slots, and very clean surroundings. The service has been top notch, too. It’s a nice break from the Strip crowds. The slots seem looser, so you might win more, and it’s an enjoyable place to visit.
