You need to pay closer attention to the dealers at Station casinos. They kept missing hands, taking good ones away from players, and missing or underpaying payouts. I had to check every calculation the whole time because I was being underpaid constantly. That’s how a casino loses players. I used to think this property was good, but the dealers are making it go downhill. It’ll take a monumental effort for me to return.

At The Brass Fork in Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino, we had a lovely dinner. The turkey dinner was amazing, and the prime rib was fabulous too. Portions are big enough to split, and even then you might barely have room for dessert. Still, don’t miss the cheesecake. If you’re full, get a slice to go. I highly recommend both meals.

I come to Santa Fe Bowling Lanes every week to cheer on my husband in his bowling league. While he bowls, I sometimes walk around the casino for my steps. It’s a quiet place compared with casinos on the Strip, probably because lots of locals come here. For an older casino, it’s in good shape and very clean. I haven’t seen the rooms, but based on the casino, I assume they’re maintained too. The sign lists rooms from $44.99 a night, a good price for this area. There’s a movie theatre, a kids’ game room, and a nice food court with several fast food places, Starbucks, and an ice cream shop. There are also several restaurants and plenty of bars.

I moved here from Utah and thought this casino would be a safe place to spend time and money. Instead, I felt singled out repeatedly. In the sports area, I saw drunk people falling asleep, but when I dozed off, security seemed to single me out. Later, I sat in the parking lot to cool down because Vegas is hot and I didn’t feel like going inside after that. Truck drivers and other people parked and slept in their vehicles, some apparently drunk, but security singled me out again and told me to leave. I’ve never been drunk, I don’t drink, and I never cursed or caused a scene. I just wanted to sit quietly until I could do what I needed to do. At the 24-hour dining area, the manager and a waitress were very rude to me. They slammed down my receipt, drinks, and food. I watched other customers being treated respectfully. The waitress barely waited on me and treated me differently from the others. She also kept the casino rewards card I’d given her for a special offer, so I had to get another one. The manager condoned her behavior. I later booked a room online, expecting to pay $70, but was charged $300. The first person I spoke to waived my deposit, which was why I decided to rent a room again. A front desk employee then said she couldn’t access the screen and that a waiver was up to the manager. But when I was charged $300, I was told the director said I could never get a waiver again. Those were two different stories from the same front desk staff. The experience made me feel unvalued as a customer and as a person, and it was hurtful. I’d bought a vehicle and had money to pay for a room, but as someone from out of state I wanted to see whether a casino would treat me like a customer. I believe I was singled out because of who I am. I know many people like this casino, and I believe they were treated better, the way customers should be, especially if they want a place that feels safe. I forgive the staff and wish them well, but I won’t return. There are plenty of other casinos in Las Vegas where I’ve been treated with respect, and I hope no one else has this experience. It’s a sad day in America when people treat you this way.

We booked a double room to save some money, but my wife and I couldn’t sleep because of the noise from our family members in the room. We went out to our vehicle, where the window blinds were already up, and fell asleep there. Less than an hour later, someone knocked on the window and told us we couldn’t sleep in the car, that we had to rent another room or leave. As far as I knew, parking was free and open 24 hours. We already had a room, and weren’t going to pay for another one when we could sleep in our vehicle. We left and met our family in the morning. That wasn’t the hospitality we expected, and it got our little vacation off to a bad start. Hope this helps someone.
