Breakaway Inn

We absolutely loved it here and didn’t need a rental car after all. Restaurants, a grocery store, and the beach were all close by, with just about everything walkable. Margret was so sweet and answered every question we had. The room was clean, well maintained, and had a full kitchen. Even the shower had great water pressure. It’s in a quieter part of town, while nightlife and activities are only a couple of blocks away. We’ll definitely return, and would recommend it.

The staff were kind and really helpful, and the beach was an easy five-minute walk. With restaurants nearby and just about everything within walking distance, the location worked out great. Our room was clean and organized, with a full kitchen and dishes so we could cook. The pool was a nice place to cool off after a long beach day. I’d recommend staying here.

We’d passed this pretty hotel on walks through Lauderdale many times and thought about staying, but kept choosing our usual places. When our booked hotel turned out badly this year, we had to find somewhere else at short notice. Margaret went above and beyond to fit us in. We had a wonderful week. My adult daughter and her husband traveled with us, and both apartments were clean, spacious, and nicely furnished. The pool, garden seating area, and two grills made the stay even better. We’ll definitely come back on our next visit.

The suite had what we needed for a pleasant stay, and the wifi worked very well. Margaret was helpful with information, and the location was convenient, near the beach across two streets, downtown restaurants and souvenir shops, and the Publix market. There were two BBQ grills and a pool in the garden, though we didn’t use them. Our main reason for not returning to this same suite is the lack of privacy. Since we were on the first level near the street, with cars parked in front of the window, we had to keep the curtains closed most of the time. The bed moved whenever we did and wasn’t comfortable. The toilet seat was stained and seemed very old. We considered buying a new one but couldn’t find one nearby. A new bed and toilet seat would help. We still had a nice stay overall.
