Deepwater Inn Motel

I’d happily stay here again next time I’m in the Ozarks. The rooms are updated and very clean, and the pool was clean too. There are also some useful amenities available if you didn’t bring enough of your own. Best of all, the water views are great.

I was glad when the trip was over. The woman who checked me in was rude, and she stayed unfriendly throughout my stay. The room felt grimy, with food left in the fridge and an unclean microwave.

For the price, it’s a decent place, and the hotel was clean. But that bed was awful. Their sign actually says “Good Beds,” yet this mattress barely gave at all when I sat on it. It felt like sleeping on plywood with a thin bit of foam. I’ve slept on better mattresses in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We spent three nights at Deepwater Inn while our family rented a house on the lake. We mainly needed somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep, and it suited us perfectly. The room had a good-sized mini fridge, and it was nice being able to park right outside the door. From room #1, we could see the lake and bridge. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the price was affordable.
