Comfort Inn Laurinburg

Jennifer made both mornings of my two-day stay special. She kept the breakfast area stocked and tidy, cleared tables, swept, and replenished the food. She helped people choose coffee and pointed out the sweet treats and vending items. She talked with everyone, asked if they needed anything, and was interested in our plans and how the stay was going. She was humble and went above and beyond. I'm already hoping she'll be there when I visit Comfort Inn - Laurinburg again. Thank you, Jennifer, for making it such a nice experience. My room was clean, and the front desk staff greeted me warmly, though the desk lamp didn't work and the toilet didn't flush right.

Breakfast let the stay down. We couldn't find the attendant to help with the toaster or point out where things were. When she finally came out of what looked like an office, she seemed unhappy to be there, went into the kitchen, put eggs in the pan, then walked off again. It would've helped if she checked on guests or stayed available. The marketplace prices felt a bit steep, so vending would be welcome. I was traveling to the beach with my mother and stayed last night. Kendall was friendly and made check-in easy. The hotel seems much improved after renovations, and I liked the new coffee machine. The stay itself was good.

We drove 11 hours with our family of five to visit an elderly relative, and this was the worst hotel stay we've ever had. We were told we'd get queen beds but got small doubles. The first room smelled of mildew, had water damage, and the AC stank. We changed rooms, but found the same swampy smell, blood on the blanket and sheets, black hair throughout the bathroom, mold on the walls, and a broken safety lock. We even bought Lysol at Walmart to sanitize the room ourselves. The owner told us to go to another hotel and promised a discount, but never honored it. The owner's reply also lied about there being seven guests. These problems appear in reviews going back over a year under the new ownership. It feels like they take advantage of tired travelers and don't really understand their concerns. This place is neglected, dirty, and dishonest. Avoid it. I'll be contacting the health department, the Better Business Bureau, and Comfort Inn customer service.

I don't smoke cigarettes, but the manager charged my room a smoking fee anyway. My girlfriend left her vape in the room, and anything else we smoked was outside in my car. When I called to dispute the charge, he was disrespectful, never called me back, and hung up when I tried several times to reach him. They're frauds, taking people's money. Do NOT stay here.
