Riverside Hot Springs Inn & Spa - Adults Only

The Riverside Inn is in a lovely spot, with access to some of southern Idaho’s most beautiful geothermal features. It’s incredibly dog-friendly, and the private mineral pools for guests were a real treat. The special offers they run also made the trip more memorable. The people were a big part of the stay. Dave and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was always great, especially the quiches and bear claws. We also treated ourselves to a fantastic meal at Portneuf Grill. Lovely location, great people, and great food.

Room 305 was charming and cozy, with a perfect view of the creek and mountains out back. It also felt very private. The pools were relaxing, and Corey gave a great massage. Diane booked us by phone at exactly the price she quoted, and the service was excellent. Dave and Ally at the front desk were wonderful, as was the cafe woman whose name I didn’t catch. I recommend the quiche and French toast. Everyone was so personable and kind. A shout-out to Portneuf Grill, too. Lindsay, Caesar, and Dereck were amazing. It was Caesar’s first night and he was on fire. The ribeye, potatoes, and vegetables were unreal. I also got a Caesar salad with chicken, the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. The Brussel sprouts were a spiritual awakening. 10/10, I’ll stay again, and highly recommend it to anyone going to lava!

I was treated to a bachelorette weekend at Riverside Hot Springs Inn & Spa, and it was fantastic. As soon as we arrived, I got to soak in the hot springs and enjoy a wonderful massage, so I felt pampered right away. Dinner at the restaurant blew me away, both for the food and the service, especially the mixologist. Ceasar made me an extraordinary Old Fashioned right at the table. Honestly, other Old Fashioneds may be ruined for me now. All the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. This hotel is one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. A 10/10 for me, and I’ll definitely be back!

The three private hot pools are awesome. You book a 30-minute session in each at no extra cost, and get the space to yourselves. Guest robes are kept by the ice machine area. There’s also a riverside trail behind Main Street that’s lovely for a walk after dinner. The inn is in town, close to everything, with its own restaurant serving tasty food at average prices. Breakfast is homemade and included. The rooms were clean and rustic, and the beds are firm memory foam. That sinking feeling isn’t for us, though someone else might like it. There’s soap, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner in the room. The heaters make it nice and toasty, but cooling down is harder. There are ceiling fans and large windows you can open, and the room lights are a bit harsh. It’s a charming place with a restaurant and pools on site. The purple door is the front entrance. It’s pet-friendly with a $15 pet deposit. Robes and extra towels are provided, and there’s a shared fridge for guest leftovers near the ice machine.
