I found my Coach bag at the front desk, wrapped in plastic and labeled “room 213,” which wasn’t even close to my room. It had been tucked under clothes at the bottom of my backpack, and a $200 Coach bag was missing from inside it. I believe staff searched through my belongings and took it. After I called corporate asking for a refund, I was banned from every Extended Stay location, so I couldn’t get my money back. I’d booked for three days, the 29th, 30th, and the 1st. On the 1st I stepped out for an hour or two, and when I returned my bag was gone. I politely asked the maintenance man where it was. He gave me attitude and insisted I’d checked out and shouldn’t be in the room. I told him I’d booked three days, but he repeated himself rudely. When I asked why he was speaking to me that way, he started swearing. I gave him attitude back, and then he charged at me from down the hall. The manager and someone who looked like an assistant manager were at the front desk when I went back for my bag. Worst staff I’ve ever dealt with, terrible attitudes, theft, and unfair use of power. An absolute failure of a business.
I’d stayed here before, which is why I booked again, but I won’t be coming back. I asked for a first-floor accessible room with a walk-in shower three weeks ahead. At check-in, the woman at the desk went to check and assured me the room was accessible. My grandkids put my bag in room 425 on the fourth floor, near the end of the hall. I hadn’t gone up yet, and when I returned around 11, I found the bathroom wasn’t accessible at all. The toilet was so low that getting up and down hurt my knees badly. I called the next morning to ask for an accessible room. They said they had none left and were fully booked. It took me ten minutes to get off that toilet, and afterward my knees hurt so much that I had to leave and use the restroom at a gas station. I also had to walk nearly to the end of the hall to reach my room. Why put someone who needs an accessible room that far away? There were people in accessible rooms who didn’t need them, while my request wasn’t met. There was loud banging on the fourth floor from about 8 a.m., so sleeping in on vacation wasn’t possible. This hotel doesn’t care about customers, just getting their money. They’ll lie to you, so be careful.
The main door deadbolt wouldn’t lock, the bathroom fan didn’t work, and the room smelled musty. When we asked for more towels, the woman hung up on us. I’ve attached a photo of the complimentary breakfast. It doesn’t show the store-bought muffins left on the front counter. We were here for AIT graduation, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
We’ve been here nearly two months while house hunting, and it’s been a really good experience. The staff are friendly and always helpful, and Manager Brian has been amazing. We’ve loved our double queen suite: the rooms are good, with a cooktop, full-size fridge, and dishwasher. We can bring our fur baby too. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
The front desk woman handled things like a trooper during the bad storm and power outage, but her manager wouldn’t help. Rooms were flooding, there was no air conditioning, and half the power was out. The manager’s response was, “tell them to sleep it’ll be better in the morning.” That’s completely unacceptable. I’ll tell everyone to avoid this place, especially military families coming for family day or graduation.
