Gross, that's the only word for it. Avoid this place if you can. I had no other option for one night. They even asked if I wanted to see the room, then explained that nothing else was available. GROSS!!!

This is our second year staying here, and it's been wonderful both times. The family who runs the place are incredibly kind and helpful. I love the tasty continental breakfast, and in the hot weather the room stayed nice and cool. The shower had great pressure and stayed warm for a long time, and the TV had my favorite channels. Walmart and Hyvee are both an easy walk away. We'll definitely stay here again next time!

Check-in was quick, and the old hotel has been renovated, though the outside could use a facelift. But there were no secure locks on the exterior doors, and you could enter through the back without a key card. There was a smell of someone cooking in their room. In our room, a garbage bag covered the smoke detector, and the electric lock didn't work, so we could just open the door. I found four dirty Q tips tucked beside a hand towel in the bathroom. The towels looked like they hadn't been washed in some time, with the towel bar's indentations still visible. I won't go back, and I advise others not to stay here.
