Pike Inn Le Roy - Bloomington Southeast Area

The location is the one good thing, with a nice diner and a Loves nearby. But there was hair on my pillow, yellow stains on the towels and bathtub, and the TV didn't work. I told the staff, but they didn't fix it. The pool was so cold my son jumped in and right back out. Breakfast was very basic, with just two cheese omelettes as the hot option. I'd rather sleep in my car than here again. At least my car is clean.

The bed was one of the more comfortable ones I've slept on in a hotel, and the room was fine with no issues. Service was quick and easy. Breakfast wasn't great, but it was fine, not bad. A good stay with no complaints.

There wasn't any water available, whether in the rooms, vending machines, or gym. Oddly, there was a water station meant to hold the jugs, but it was empty. I was charged $200 to stay here by myself, and this is definitely not a $200-a-night hotel. That money clearly isn't going toward cleaning. There were stinkbugs, ladybugs, and cobwebs everywhere. When we called to ask for housekeeping, we were told there wasn't any. The only guy at the desk came up with a vacuum. Later I found out another team of girls had been in that room earlier, refused to stay there, and were moved to another room. This room still hadn't been cleaned, and yet another group of girls was put in it.

The location is odd, down a bumpy road behind a Love's gas station. It wasn't a bad spot, just not where I'd expect a hotel. The room itself was spacious, nice, and clean, with a strong shower and plenty of parking. Breakfast was dry, and the fruit hadn't been replenished since the night before. They didn't seem to monitor it or care. Two of the three ice machines were broken, the vending machines were empty, and some other equipment was broken too. It wasn't a bad experience, but apart from the location, it wouldn't take much work to make it a good one.
