Blue Elk Inn

Chloe made our arrival in the trailer easy, greeting us and walking us through several parking choices. Check-in was smooth, and she got us hot tub towels, blankets for the dogs and outdoor use, and set the sauna heat for us. She also brought our e-bikes in for storage. Later, she suggested a good place to eat and chatted with us while we had pizza in the sitting area. The rooms were spacious and spotless, and we're looking forward to the complimentary breakfast. The customer service was next level. Chloe is one of the best hotel hosts I've met, and I highly recommend the place.

Breakfast was delicious both mornings, and we enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. We didn't get to try the saunas, though I'd have picked the treehouse one. The staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. We also liked the blue elk theme throughout and the scavenger hunt. My husband and I stayed two nights at this lovely little inn. It was quiet and relaxing, away from the busy tourist area, but still just a short walk from town activities. Free bicycles are available if you don't feel like walking. Our king deluxe room was cozy, with a comfortable bed, a private outdoor seating area, and a fire table. The bathroom had plenty of storage drawers, so our toiletries weren't covering the counter. Everything was clean, relaxing, and nicely updated. The lobby, dining room, and seating area felt welcoming, and the backyard grounds were beautiful. We'd definitely come back.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the place was well kept. Staff were warm and friendly, too. Breakfast had a good choice of juice, fruit, eggs, and coffee, and on such a hot day the pool was a great extra. The one trouble was noise from the room above us. The person up there walked heavily, and it made falling asleep hard. I think being on the top floor would've made the stay even better. I was there for one night and had a very good experience otherwise.

The building seems well managed, and the location, decor, atmosphere, garden, and grounds were all nice. The staff were nice as well. Housekeeping needs work. The bathroom smelled around the toilet, and the fridge smelled too. They need to pay closer attention to details. The elevator was out for the whole weekend. Breakfast was pretty bad, very cost cutting central. Sadly that seems common these days, but it's worth knowing.
