Enzian Inn

The breakfast was my favorite part, and the amenities were great. The pool and hot tubs were lovely, and the rooms were cute, a good size, with plenty of storage. The open shower can leave water all over the bathroom, so watch your step. The game room was okay, but don't expect much from the pool table since kids have pretty much wrecked it. We went in winter, when we weren't aiming to spend much time outside. If you're visiting Leavenworth, you may not be at the hotel much anyway. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would come back one day. Thanks!

Families have plenty to do here, with indoor and outdoor pools, a movie theater, golf simulator, and game room. During the holidays, lobby caroling by the fireplace adds a cozy, memorable feel. The buffet breakfast is excellent and a great value, with a particularly good spread included in the stay. The rooms are a little dated, but I think that gives the inn some character. It's only minutes from Leavenworth's Town Center, near the tree lighting and plenty of restaurants. A very family-friendly place and a comfortable, festive stay. Highly recommended.

The rooms were quiet and comfortable, the pools were a huge hit, and the service was lovely. Breakfast was everything people say it is, and then some. This place is amazing, though you definitely pay for it. We can't afford to come all the time, which is a shame, but we splurged for a birthday weekend.

We've stayed at the Enzian Inn in Leavenworth three times, and it used to be one of our favorite family getaways. The location is still excellent, an easy walk to downtown, and the property remains great for families. There are indoor and outdoor pools, a downstairs playroom, a golf simulator, and the morning Swiss alphorn performance is still a special touch. Breakfast remains a highlight, especially the pastries and omelet station, and the coffee is solid. But some things have slipped. The sausage was the inexpensive Jimmy Dean microwave kind, and one morning there was a long hair in the gravy. When we pointed it out, the chef changed the ladle but left the gravy, which put us off. The facilities are good, but the property feels about a decade more worn than it should for the price. Service was the main problem this visit. We asked for basic hospitality and kept getting flat “no” answers, with little effort to help or explain. A manager had told us the outdoor fires would be lit around 4pm and stay on until 10pm. When we went out around 6pm, none were burning. We were told they wouldn't be lit because they're “hard to turn off,” even though firewood was stacked there. Instead, we were given matches and offered a Duraflame log to buy, though the fires have always been presented as a standard hotel service. It was especially awkward because our grandparents were visiting and had paid for day passes to use the amenities with us that evening. We also asked about late checkout and got another blunt no, with no offer to check availability or suggest a paid option. We would have happily paid for more time; we weren't expecting it free. Staff seemed like they didn't want to be bothered, which was a surprise after how warm and accommodating the Inn had been on previous visits. So it's a mixed stay. The amenities, breakfast, and walkable location are still good, but service has noticeably declined. Better food quality, upkeep, and more guest-focused staff could make the Enzian a family favorite for us again. At the moment, the setting and facilities are doing more of the work than the hospitality.
