WorldMark Leavenworth

We've owned with WM for 16 years, and finding availability for our timeshares has become SIGNIFICANTLY harder over time. After reading the reviews here, I'm even more convinced WM sets aside more availability for non-owners to draw them into buying. Owners mostly bring in the rising annual maintenance dues, while the new generation of suckers brings in the money. The sales pitch is relentless, so if you have time, take the free gift and consider yourself warned: DON'T buy in. There always seems to be another gimmick. Honestly, just booking rooms as a non-owner would have been more accessible and affordable. We were suckers 16 years ago. We've stayed at WorldMark Leavenworth every January for about eight years. The units are consistently very clean and mostly functional. Roughly half the time we've needed maintenance for one thing or another, though those issues usually get resolved. It's probably quieter than staying in town, but from the master room you can hear people stomping on the outside stairs, even late at night or early in the morning. This WM is also behind other locations when it comes to blackout curtains. Outside lights keep the rooms bright at night, and the sunrise comes in early, so curtains would help people who want to sleep in. Staff here have always been friendly and helpful.

We stayed three nights on our first visit, giving us time to explore the city and nearby area. The rooms were nice, though it was a little cold and we didn't use the hot tub. Check-in was friendly. There is a sales staff, and we sat through the presentation. The hiking trails into town could use more signs.

The condos are in good shape and have nice amenities. It's an easy walk to downtown Leavenworth, while still being much quieter than staying on the strip.

We come here for sunshine and time by the pool, so it was really disappointing that they chose to work on the hot tub while it was still hot outside. They seemed to be at it constantly, with what sounded like a saw or drill, and it was loud enough to hear from our room. The pool area was also covered in ash, and the staff didn't seem interested in cleaning it. On top of that, they were rude and very pushy about getting us to attend the sales pitch. They told us we were flagged for not going.
