A king studio gave me and my kitty plenty of room, and I loved the two huge windows with shutters. They opened all the way, with a wide ledge where the cat could sun herself and watch outside. Grapevine and Hungry Valley are right out back, and it was quiet as heck. The staff were great and the price was good. I've passed this Motel 6 countless times going from the Bay to SD, and it's a handy halfway stop to relax during the drive. I take my time and enjoy the route and points of interest, and I'll stop here again if I need to.

For $60, I got what I expected and can't complain. The room was standard budget fare, the beds had been updated, and the memory foam mattress sat on a steel frame. Staff were pleasant, and there was safe parking for my truck and trailer. One warning: I recently bought an Olight Ark Pro Ultra and have been checking rooms with its black light. Don't make my mistake. Some places will impress you with how clean they are, while other times it's upsetting.

The price was good and the hotel was otherwise okay, so maybe it's manageable if you've got an eye mask and aren't bothered by chemical smells. But the hallway and room had a horribly strong cleaning-chemical odor. Anyone prone to headaches should avoid this place. There were no blackout curtains either. The shutters didn't block the light, and the parking lot floodlights made it bright enough inside to read.

The counter staff were pleasant in the evening and morning, the beds were surprisingly comfortable and clean, and the location was nice. But the broken blinds had to be held shut with bandaids, the floor felt sticky, and there was a dried puddle of something between the beds. People kept slamming the very loud doors through the night, so we barely slept. Even the coffee was lukewarm. The photos and reviews had set my hopes high, and this was a letdown. Next time I'll probably pay extra for somewhere nicer.

Traveling from Scottsdale Arizona to Sacramento California with five children and a dog, we stopped for a night's sleep and booked two rooms because the price was great. The rooms were clean and roomy, the beds comfortable, there was lots of parking, and the hotel was quiet. Staff were great, and the peaceful atmosphere was a welcome surprise from a motel 6. We usually avoid motel 6 because they tend to disappoint. We lost track of time getting ready to leave, and they gave us grace. At other places, including Hiltons, I've had staff wait outside the door with a wedge holding it open and stare at us when we were 15 minutes late. Here they simply knocked, asked if we were staying another night, then left us alone. Getting kids out the door is a feat, and they added NO stress to my morning. Thank you SO much, I'd stay again. Two suggestions: make the doors close more slowly so they aren't so loud, and add better TV options, like Netflix, so travelers can log in. We sleep with the TV on and couldn't do that here, though we were too tired for it to matter this time.
