Sunset Inn

The decor is a little dated, but the place was spotless, which matters more to me. It was the cleanest bathroom we’ve ever had, even compared with high-end hotels. The couple who run it are nice, parking is plentiful, and it was easy to find. Great value!

We had nowhere else to go after our other booking fell through, and we were traveling with my daughter, so we paid $500 for two nights in an emergency. I was ready to write a nice review because the beds were remarkably comfortable for a low-rent motel. Then I went looking for the extra roll of toilet paper I’m 1000% sure I saw at check-in, and it was gone. Someone, most likely the owner, must have come in and taken it. That felt super creepy. Won’t be back.

Having a microwave in the room was handy, and free coffee and tea were available. The front desk staff were helpful and carried my first husband's luggage. Breakfast was adequate, with delicious waffles, though the dining area is small. It was convenient to have a washing machine, but there’s no elevator, which was inconvenient. Only one nearby restaurant stays open late, and Dinkin Donuts is next door.

We got so comfortable here that we stayed a few more nights than planned. The rooms were clean, customer service was amazing, and the price was more than reasonable. Everything we needed was a short walk away from this central spot in Lee, including a laundromat, Lee Premium Outlets, and Big Y Grocery store. Definitely a great place to stay. I’m sure we’ll be back soon, especially at that price.
