Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kansas City - Lee's Summit, an IHG Hotel

I’ve stayed here twice, and it’s a nice spot if you’re in town for a Kansas City Chiefs game. Autumn at the front desk is helpful and accommodating. The rooms are clean, the hot breakfast is delicious, and there’s a large pool plus a good fitness center. I recommend it.

We keep coming back when we visit family in Raytown. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast is pretty decent. There are good restaurants nearby, including Jack Stack BBQ and chains like Texas Roadhouse. The main issue we’ve had is the showers get really slippery, and they don’t seem to be doing anything about it. This Holiday Inn is much nicer than the one nearer to Raytown, without being much farther from our family, and it doesn’t cost a lot more.

The place could use quite a bit of updating, and there don’t seem to be enough pool or guest towels for the rooms. Still, it’s clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooms were spacious and clean, which was about the only good part. Check-in was awful. The front desk staff were rude and unprofessional, seemed unsure who was actually in line, and gave me attitude when I said I was checking in and gave them the reservation name. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels and haven’t had an experience this bad. Checkout instructions were unclear too. I’d go somewhere else.
