Best Western Leesburg Hotel & Conference Center

The staff were great, and our room was clean, but the noise made it hard to sleep. We had to change rooms after the first night because the man next door talked loudly all night with his TV blaring. The replacement was adjoining too, and we had the same problem. Light came through under the adjoining door, and the window curtain wouldn’t close all the way, so bright light shone in all night. Breakfast was so-so: burnt eggs both days, an empty yogurt machine, and bread that looked sad and a little stale. The coffee was good.

The manager hung up on me rather than answer my questions about a possible stay. After reading other reviews about roaches and poor service, I’m glad that happened. We’ll find somewhere cleaner and better managed instead of risking bugs or filth in our luggage.

The fire alarm went off at 7:00, and there was no manager at the desk. Firefighters were trying to find someone who knew the facility map, and eventually someone came from a room down the hall. There was usually no manager at the desk in the evenings, and nobody answered the phones. We also had loud music going well past 11:30 p.m., a very hard bed, and had to ask for basic room restocks like coffee. A horrible stay. Don’t do it, even to save a few pennies.

There were cockroaches in the rooms, and the hotel felt dirty and low-class. The location isn’t great, and the rates make no sense when they should be motel prices. You’d be better off closer to the airport. There’s nothing special about Leesburg, and I wish I could give this place zero stars.
