Best Western Plus Westgate Inn & Suites

There was something going on in the lobby every night, from bingo and karaoke to board games. I’ve never seen one feel so lively. The staff were kind and patient through my reservation hiccups and throughout our stay. Our room and the rest of the building were clean, and breakfast had lots of choices with fresh food coming out regularly. There’s an outdoor pool, a nice fitness room, and coin-operated laundry. Getting to Wilmington and the nearby beaches was easy by car. If we’re back in the area, we’ll stay here again.

The staff were all great, but breakfast really wasn't very good. In room 316, the curtains wouldn't shut all the way, so a parking lot floodlight shone into the room. Management, please take a look.

The bed was the one letdown, stiff and springy at once. Otherwise the shower was perfect, the AC worked well, and the spacious room was clean and smelled fresh. There were plenty of towels, a big TV, and lots of room for our suitcases. The open, welcoming common area has a public fireplace, and the hotel is right off the main highway. I'd stay again.

The team here really stood out to me. I’ve stayed in hotels across the country, and I haven’t met a friendlier or more attentive staff, from the front desk to the maintenance crew. It’s a nice hotel too, but the people are what I’ll remember. I’ll stay here again when I’m back in town.
