Red Carpet Inn Philadelphia Airport

The bathroom door looked as if it had been kicked in, and the room hadn't been cleaned properly. I was told to go to the lobby to ask about a shuttle for my early flight, but the lobby door was locked and the lights were off. The man came out from behind the desk and yelled through the door for me to go back to my room after asking for my room number. He said he'd call, but the phone was in the room. Later, he knocked on the window.

The Motel 6 said it had plenty of rooms, but an hour later, when I arrived, there weren't any. I was told to ask the man's friend next door at the Red Carpet Inn, who had one room left. Calling that place filthy, nasty, dirty, and smoky barely covers it. I turned on the air and sprayed Lysol, then went to a family member's house early to clean up. I only needed somewhere for one night.

I spent the night worrying another cockroach would show up, so I couldn't sleep peacefully. After checking in, I killed two regular-sized roaches. Later, as I came out of the bathroom, I noticed the tub seemed uneven, like they'd called Bath Fitter. Then I saw something bigger crawling down the wall as I came out of the bedroom. It turned out to be a huge cockroach, and it took me a while to get rid of it. Early in the morning, I woke up to another one on the wall. I ended up having to play exterminator.

We'd requested a non-smoking room, but it smelled of smoke. The bathroom walls were dirty, and the doorknob looked ready to fall out. We asked to move, but the other room smelled too. Since it was late, we stayed there.
