A great spot, and I'd stay again. The rooms were clean and very nice, breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the fitness room was fantastic. I also loved the fresh flowers in the lobby. Restaurants and shops are an easy walk away.

I won a work drawing and this was my first stay here. It was a pleasant surprise. The service stood out most: everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was so sweet and helpful. The rooms were spacious, and there was plenty of parking. Right by the canal, there are walking paths, playgrounds, and a nice outdoor area. It's also easy to get around, whether walking downtown Lewes or driving to nearby places. I'd absolutely come back.

We've come back over the past 22 years, and the hotel has generally been satisfactory. Staff are hospitable, beds are comfortable, parking is plentiful, and there's a continental breakfast. It's centrally located in downtown Lewes. Many rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors look out over the canal, though trees block the view from the large second-floor balconies. There are a few drawbacks. The floor coverings are stained and due for replacement, and Wi-Fi can be unreliable, especially later in the day. Each room has its own heating and cooling unit instead of central climate control, and the unit kicking on at night can make sleep fitful.

After about ten tries, we finally got a room in early February, since this place fills up quickly in season. It's right by the main downtown Lewes shopping and dining area, just a couple of blocks away, and convenient for the state park and shopping centers too. The staff welcomed us warmly. Our room was bright, clean, and everything worked. The included breakfast was a very nice European style one. We'd stay here again.

We like being able to park the car and explore town on foot or by bike, and our earlier stays here were mostly very good. This time, though, the desk staff insisted we couldn't bring our bikes to the rooms. The only option they offered was a flimsy outdoor rack. That's okay for a beach cruiser, but I'd never leave my good bikes there overnight. It disrupted our plans, especially surprising in a bike town like Lewis. I don't know what people do when they come for an event. If we'd ridden into Lewis, we'd have been completely stuck, since they offered no workable solution.
