Relax Inn

We’ve stayed here every three months or so for a while, and until this visit we’d been fine with it. It’s an old, basic roadside motel, reasonably clean and comfortable for a two-star place, so you expect some age. This time the Wi-Fi was out, and I had to use my hotspot for work, which used all my data and slowed my phone down for the next 10 days. The water went cold after a three-minute shower, so only my husband got one. There’s no breakfast, which is expected at this price, but the outside door wouldn’t latch. Since we had to leave for breakfast and his meeting, I packed all my things into the car even though I planned to come back before checkout. When I called the desk about the door, the man spoke to me as though I didn’t know how to close it. Apparently there’s a special way, because it was shut when I returned. They also charged a $17 “upgrade fee” on top of our reservation. Between that and buying breakfast, we could’ve stayed somewhere better for similar money. We’ll probably stay elsewhere next time we’re in Lewisburg. Very disappointing.

Sugar ants were all over the room and got into our toiletries. The mattress pad had pubic hair on it, which was disgusting. While we were out, the refrigerator and freezer stopped working, and water poured out when I opened the door. We had to throw away all our restaurant leftovers. We only needed a place to crash for one night, but we won’t return.

The owners are kind and accommodating, and they’re on site. It’s easy to reach and makes a convenient midway stop on my trips between western PA and NYC. The place is quiet, pet friendly, and consistently clean and comfortable, with a reasonable price. I stay here often and recommend it if you need a good place to rest while traveling.

They charged me $100 a night for a disgusting room. The sheets were stained, the shower was gross, and the place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. There was a hole in the door, and it didn’t work properly. The bathroom outlet was dead, and the microwave was half hanging out of the outlet, which felt dangerous. Wood chips were scattered around the room. I’ll never stay here again. Highly recommend going elsewhere.
