Trails End Motel

The stay was nice, but a woman who seemed intoxicated was yelling slurs while children were around. It made it hard to sleep.

I booked online, then called but got no answer. When we arrived, we stood in the office for about 20 minutes ringing the bell and still got no response. The office smelled like urine. We left and were fortunate to find somewhere else. At the new place, we spoke with someone who had worked at trails end before and said this hotel was pretty much a slum and the worst in the county.

It was SO DIRTY. The only good thing was that the front desk woman didn't make a fuss when I asked for a refund. When I went in, all she asked was, “Going somewhere else?”

The room wasn't worth even the discounted rate, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. I was heading East and booked through a hotel app. The door lock was broken, so I slept with my suitcase braced against it. The shower had no handle, which meant I couldn't use it, and the see-through “curtain” left me visible to everyone walking past. Highway noise was really loud. They refunded me $40 for the trouble.
