Yogo Inn

The second-floor room was really quiet, and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and had the amenities we needed. The Yogo Inn hosted our conference while I was in Lewistown, and it had a quirky, cool feel. It isn't luxurious or new, and that's not what they're going for. The staff were upbeat and friendly, and seemed proud of their work. I hadn't visited town before and hope to return. The walking paths near the Inn are a nice, convenient way to get outside. We had a lovely time.

The room had dead flies on the inside window sill and no hot water. We were also treated rudely after the wedding, when we finally checked in with our cranky five-month-old. We'd asked to check in early for our 3 p.m. reservation so we could settle the baby before the wedding, but staff refused even though the room was clean and ready. They called the manager and still said no, without giving a reason. Customer service was terrible. The hotel itself isn't bad, but the staff are not good. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

The front desk clerk came to our room with a form for us to sign saying we were happy with everything. I refused and shut the door. Fifteen minutes later, she returned and said we had to leave because we wouldn't sign the new form. So we packed up and went to the Super 8 across town. The clerk there was very nice, and the rooms were cleaner and much cheaper. At this motel, our ground-floor room had no heat, even though we were told it was the only clean room on that floor. The pool, hot tub, lounge, and dining room were all closed.

I lasted five minutes before turning in my key and driving an hour and a half to a nicer, cheaper hotel in Great Falls. The front desk staff weren't very friendly or helpful. The lobby reeked of chlorine, and the smell got worse as I tried to navigate the odd maze of unmarked hallways. Online, this was described as a charming historic inn, but it turned out to be one of the creepiest hotels I've seen. It seemed like an old outdoor motel around a courtyard pool with a roof added over it. None of the rooms had exterior windows or natural light.
