Holiday Inn Express and Suites Limon I 70 EX 359

The bed was the one good part of my stay. I slept well on it. Getting the room cleaned was a struggle. They cleaned when they felt like it, every 3 or 4 days, and I had to complain many times to get it done daily. The bathroom and room needed more attention, and in some spots you could see that the floor hadn't been cleaned. I was paying to have the room cleaned but still had to make my own bed. Check-in could have been friendlier too.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was alright. The main items changed each day, while the sides stayed the same. The rooms were small, and all the furniture made them feel cramped. The beds seemed too firm, but the bedding was changed daily. We had to move rooms because the whole second floor was being remodeled. In the new room, the shower ran black for a couple of minutes before clearing out whatever was in the line. The thermostat seemed to do what it wanted even when adjusted, and my key card needed resetting several times despite not being near anything that could have affected it. Not a bad stay, just some oddities.

This property is run down and needs a LOT of TLC. In its current shape, it doesn't deserve the IHG brand. The bedding is cheap and wrinkled, and the toilet was dirty, as shown in the pictures. I won't stay here again or recommend it. My company spends a LOT with IHG, and maybe we should look at Hyatt. At the front desk, she was unaccommodating and not very hospitable. She didn't mention my Diamond Elite status or offer points or a choice of snack until I brought it up. Maybe she was distracted by a little girl in the office with her, possibly her daughter.

They promised me a $50 refund, but I never got it. If they have proof it was sent, as they said, they should send it. There's no evidence of it on my credit card. They could've sent a screenshot, but instead they just keep saying it happened. Don't stay here. 😩😩😩😩😩 I tried to leave a message for the manager, but you can't. That's another reason I'd rate the hotel zero stars if I could. There are lots of better hotels in Limon!!!!
