Beachcombers Haven

We’ve stayed here with the family twice now and really enjoy it. The neighborhood is quiet, and you get a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach is right across the street, though the path down is a bit steep.

The unit was very close to the beach, which was the one good thing. Every room was visibly dirty when we arrived: the vents were extremely dusty, the oven was disgusting, there was an unidentified stain in the fridge, and the doorknob was so rusty it was difficult to open the door. We used a griddle we brought from home instead of the oven. Laundry was supposed to be open at 9, but it was still shut at 10:30. Nobody was in the office, and calls went unanswered. They later left us a bad Airbnb review for leaving the house dirty, including complaints about things we had deliberately avoided using, like the oven. The cleaning fee was hefty, too, despite the state of the unit when we checked in and the apparent lack of awareness of that after we left.

The on-site manager is wonderful and goes out of her way to make guests comfortable. She clearly knows what she’s doing. The new owners are friendly and personable, and I’m glad they decided to keep the place as a beach rental. It’s a great all-around place. Families could use it for a reunion, and groups like a sewing club have a space that works well. It can also host parties. If you haven’t stayed here, give it a try.

It was clean, peaceful, and a really nice place to stay. The beach is about a two-minute walk away, and Chester's Market is nearby for groceries. There are good Thai restaurants in Lincoln City, roughly 15 minutes away. I had a great stay and would come back.
