Best Western Plus Landmark Inn

It’s not the most modern hotel, but it’s welcoming and feels like home. I’d recommend it for families or groups of friends. There’s a pool for kids, a jacuzzi for grandparents, and hot water and tea always available for a relaxing moment. Laundry is very reasonably priced, and breakfast is yummy and well stocked. The staff are super friendly, always greeting you with a smile and a warm welcome. Kudos to the team for running the place with so much grace and charm!

Lyndsay Allred, the manager, eventually got back to me and was very helpful on the phone and when I reached the motel. Much thanks to her. I’d had trouble contacting the motel directly on the drive from Portland, since I kept getting sent to CENTRAL RESERVATIONS. It’s in a touristy coastal beach town, right on Hwy 101, but our evening was very quiet. The room was generously sized and clean, with all the amenities and comfortable bedding, and we slept well. The TV setup could be better. Like many motels, there was no GUIDE access on the remote or movie channels, though I wasn’t there mainly to watch TV. I left early and missed breakfast, but the dining area looked more spacious and comfortable than at other motels I’ve seen. I did grab some delicious pastries and coffee for the early morning drive.

Anita made check-in seamless. She’s the GM, front desk person, head of maintenance, dishwasher, and probably a lot more, and she’s so nice. The hotel felt safe and clean, and everything in the room was spotless. We had a very comfortable bed, a separate sitting area up front for watching TV in the evening, and a safe in the room. All the jets worked in our jacuzzi tub. There’s also an elevator, free WiFi and parking, and a breakfast buffet from 6 to 9:30 a.m.

The staff were amazing, the rooms wonderful, and the location convenient for what we needed. I’d come back every time I’m in town. 10/10. Even with the hotel fully booked, everything was taken care of and nothing was missing. Breakfast items ran low but didn’t run out, just how it ought to be.
