The view was lovely, and I saw a seal from the window. At low tide you can look for treasures along the bay, and when it’s high you can walk down and swim. But the location was about the only good thing. I had a room with an unmade bed and bags of trash, so after hauling my things up to the top floor I had to go back down for another. While I waited, someone else asked to move because their room smelled bad and felt old and dingy. The next room seemed clean and had no odd smell, but it had problems of its own. The bathroom light only worked after I switched on the extremely loud fan, then toggled the light off and on. None of the outlets beside the bed worked, so my lamp and phone charger had to go across the room. I had to get up to turn the lamp off, and my phone was far away while I slept. I didn’t want to risk another room being gross or smelling weird, so I put up with it for one night. The beds were okay, but the pillows felt old and none were soft or fluffy, even with six to choose from across the two beds. I could hear someone snoring through the wall. The service, or their systems, needs work, and the rooms need help. The convenient location and bay view were nice, but the stay wasn’t great.

It was an easy, relaxing getaway with my family and pet. The room was spotlessly clean and exceptionally cozy, with a great view of the coast, and the location is perfect for walking to the beach. From arrival, the staff were warm, considerate, and helpful. It’s refreshing to be welcomed by a team that clearly cares about your comfort. I’ll absolutely stay at the Siletz bay lodge again on my next trip to Lincoln City.

I was skeptical at first, but the room turned out pretty good. It was non-smoking on the top floor, and, with our sensitive noses, we could tell it was free of odor. The view was good too, though the balcony railing seemed sketchy. The price works for the location, so I wouldn’t mind coming back. I didn’t interact with the staff much, but they were nice enough when I did.

BEWARE. We’d enjoyed staying there a few times, but after our mid-December visit they charged a $50 security deposit and I’m still waiting for the refund. OYO first said it would take 7 to 14 days, then, after more calls and emails, told me to wait another 7 days. They later claimed they’d issued a credit, but I sent proof that they hadn’t. A few more days have passed and there’s still no refund from OYO. From the reviews I’ve read, I’m not the only one.

The rooms are decent, though a bit outdated, and breakfast is basic. Staff can be friendly, and the overall experience may be mixed. Still, it’s a good option for budget travelers, with an excellent location, peaceful beachfront feel, and beautiful bay views from the water-facing rooms at Siletz Bay Beachfront Hotel by OYO.
