The breakfast area had no seats left and the coffee was gone. In our room, the bedside outlets and coffee maker didn’t work, and the pullout bed was uncomfortable. It also had no sheets, blankets, or pillows until we asked. The elevator took forever, and we found an old sock under the couch. I’d booked a one-bedroom suite, expecting a separate bedroom. Instead, it was an L-shaped room with a see-through gas fireplace between the sleeping area and the main room, and the fireplace didn’t work. Very disappointing. I’ve always thought highly of Holliday Inn.

Jeremy B cleaned our room, and I’ve never seen a bathroom so shiny. The hotel was the cleanest I’ve ever seen, and the Front Office Manager, Kayla I think, was incredibly accommodating. We also appreciated the complimentary water when we arrived and the designated pet area, which you don’t find at many pet-friendly hotels. My husband and I are Diamond Elite members and stay more than 70 nights a year around the world, so we’ve stayed at plenty of Holiday Inn Express hotels. This was one of the best. They greeted us and acknowledged our status, and upgraded our room. We’d absolutely recommend it and stay again.

Beach access is just down the hill from the hotel parking lot, which was great for a morning walk. Our room was spacious, and the service was friendly. We really enjoyed the stay and would recommend it.

I was charged $245 for being there only 10 minutes. I had to cancel both nights because of an emergency, but the front desk clerk said I’d only be charged $112 for the late cancellation and that the manager would contact me. No one ever did. I called four times, and each time I was told the manager would get back to me. Eventually the clerk said the manager had decided to charge for both nights, but they never gave me a number to reach the manager myself. The customer service was very poor, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. That’s ridiculous. They need a better manager.
