That third-floor view across the little inlet was beautiful, but the room needed much more care. It was vacuumed daily and the towels were changed, yet the bathroom fixtures weren’t cleaned. The battered mini fridge was frosted over and hadn’t been wiped in a long time; the furniture was dirty, and the walls had hand and foot marks. The toilet was hard to flush, and the TV reception was awful. I paid for our last day on Monday before ten, then got a call saying I still owed money. The man argued with me when I said it was paid, and by the time I returned to the room, the key code had been changed. There was no apology for the mistake, and he was quite rude. It felt like very little effort went into upkeep.

The breakfast was good, and the front desk man was friendly and helpful. But the motel is very outdated and needs a major upgrade. The carpet looked dirty and was pulling away from the baseboard near the bathroom. My towels had stains of some unknown kind, and the TV started failing on my first night and never worked properly again before checkout. I’m from Ohio and this was my first time in the area. If I come back, I’ll stay somewhere else.

It’s an older motel, and the room didn’t look like the website photos. The ocean view was nice and the price was good. The bathroom smelled of bleach, so it seemed clean, but the carpet needs a deep clean or replacement. There were no ice bucket or alarm clock, among a few other missing things.

There weren’t any signs or warnings that the motel was non-smoking, so I was upset to find a $100 charge added to my account on top of the room price for smoking outside on the deck. We were careful to shut the door each time, put the butts in the garbage, and leave no mess. It felt deceptive. The man in charge seemed very strange and looked dirty, and the hallways smelled like rotten food. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Check your charges, and if you smoke, don’t do it anywhere near the motel because it’ll cost you.
