Surfland Hotel

We slept really well both nights, and being able to open the window to hear the roaring waves was lovely. We also liked setting our own room temperature. Room 210 was clean and updated, with plenty of ventilation, a comfortable king bed, and a large jacuzzi. The shower had good pressure and a rain shower option. Breakfast was included and changed a little each morning, with eggs, fruit, yogurt, and other options. The pool and jetted hot tub were clean, though we ran out of time to try the brand new steam sauna. There was plenty of parking, and we loved having a path straight down to the beach, which many places don’t offer. The staff were friendly and helpful. Surfland is one of our new favorite beach stays, and we’re looking forward to coming back.

Our backup plan turned into our new favorite place in Lincoln City. We’d booked our annual New Year’s Eve beach trip months ahead, but walked straight back out of our first hotel and needed somewhere at the last minute. I’d never stayed at Surfland and hadn’t even planned to, but booked on a whim. Mel greeted me at the front desk, and the whole place felt warm and genuinely welcoming. Little touches stood out, like coffee to take to the room and a French press ready for the morning. The free breakfast was surprisingly good for a hotel that already felt nicer than it needed to be. We enjoyed the outdoor seating, easy beach access, sauna, hot tub, and pool. I used the pool as a cold plunge for contrast therapy. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the pillows fluffy, and everyone on staff was wonderful. It was also barely more expensive than the hotel we’d left just 15 minutes earlier. We’ll absolutely be back.

The stairs down to the beach were a bit rough for us older folks. Still, we liked the fire seating area in the middle of the property and would stay again. Our balcony room had a great view, and we really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. The continental breakfast was very good, and parking was easy.

The fire pit was a favorite, a nice spot to hang out, play games, and make memories. The ocean views are beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very clean, and the full breakfast was really good. We also liked the pool, hot tub, and sauna. The staff were super friendly. Darcy checked us in, then called to see if everything was up to par. The ladies at checkout were sweet too and asked how our stay was. We’ve paid much more at other places and received less care. I highly recommend checking this place out next time you’re in Lincoln City.
