I was waiting in my truck to check into the hotel when a sign said check-in started at 3:00 p.m. A staff member came over and said I could check in early. During the process he asked, “It’s not with Chime, right?” I said I had a Chime account but would pay with a card from a traditional bank. He then said “people like you with multiple bank cards charge back our hotel” and demanded a $300 cash security deposit. His conduct felt discriminatory and unprofessional. He made biased assumptions about me based on my banking choice and identity, and I don't feel I was treated fairly. I plan to report this to the proper authorities as racial and financial discrimination. Don't respond with your ignorant reply that has nothing to do with your discriminatory response. I lay down for a quick nap as soon as I arrived and got bitten by a bed bug. I reported it at the front desk and was told I could leave and get a refund. It's been over two weeks and nothing has come through. I called Choice Privileges services to check, and they confirmed there was no refund. When I tried calling the property, my number had been blocked, so I had to use a friend's phone. They claimed they'd refunded me, then hung up when I said they hadn't.

We left because we were concerned about the people staying there, especially after the staff acted like the situation was normal and didn't care. Outside our room, men were drinking and seemed high, and we had to ask them to move so we could get to our door. On the night of October 3rd, the man at the front desk told us that's what people do there. They also said there were absolutely no refunds, even for safety reasons.

After a long day on the road, I got to unwind and sleep well in a really comfortable room. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend it for the comfy stay and good service.
