Rodeway Inn

We rented two rooms a few weeks ago at 417 US Route 3 Lincoln NH 03251. The location was fine, and we knew what to expect. The rooms were mostly empty around us, but the guests there, including my party, were put close together in one small area. It was loud, with no peace or quiet. One toilet didn’t work, neither room had temperature control or a working bathroom outlet, and there was no helpful staff around. The only way to reach anyone most of the time was by phone, and they didn’t answer. We tried several times. Once someone hung up on us; the other calls rang and rang, and we didn’t leave a message the last time. The man who checked us in was extremely rude, too. No temperature control, noise, no help, plumbing problems. A genuinely awful stay. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else. To respond to the comment, both nights we were there a few weeks ago the place was nearly empty, yet the few guests you had were all crowded into that same small area. I initially left out how rude the man at check-in was, but clearly you wear rudeness like a badge of honor.

I showed up for my Priceline booking and the front desk, probably the owner, asked for an unexpected extra $15 for the boys. When I asked for a receipt, they refused and told me to pay or leave. The whole thing felt shady, so I had to go elsewhere. I won't stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

The pool was nice, and the bathroom was very clean. The room had a small fridge, with a microwave available elsewhere, plus a good TV and a comfortable bed, more on that later. It's a very budget friendly spot near stores and attractions. A few things were missing or rough: no chain on the door, not many outlets, so I had to unplug a lamp to charge my phone, and the water pressure was low. There were no vending machines or facial tissues, and the toilet paper roll was mostly used with no spare. My daughter woke up with what looked like bedbug bites.

The area is great, with outdoor hiking and sights nearby, and our rooms were clean. We didn't get around to using the pool. One thing to know about payment: the owner charges a second amount and holds it as a damage deposit until checkout.
