We chose Spouter Inn because it sits about halfway between Portland and Acadia National Park, and waking up to the ocean outside our window each morning was wonderful. Mark and Tracy were lovely innkeepers who offered good ideas for things to do nearby. We loved the comfortable, beautifully decorated rooms and cozy common spaces. One afternoon we had tea and an innkeeper-provided treat in a plush living room chair. Breakfast was out of this world: homemade granola and yogurt, a pastry with fresh fruit, then a great entree with bacon or sausage. I’m still thinking about the coconut scone and made-from-scratch danish. This was our first visit to the area, and we loved it. We’ll definitely return. One of the best bed & breakfast inns we’ve visited.

The three-course breakfast at Spouter Inn B & B was wonderful. Tracy’s homemade granola smelled heavenly when I arrived, baking for the next morning. My first breakfast started with a homemade scone alongside a bowl of huge fresh raspberries and a scoop of raspberry sorbet, followed by granola and three fluffy pancakes with local blueberries and Maine-made maple syrup. The attention to detail around the house is lovely, too, including African Violet plants in the sunroom and entryway where breakfast is served. Mark and Tracy were recommended by local friends, and I can see why. My two-night visit exceeded expectations. I stayed in the spacious first-floor Admiral’s Quarters, with a king bed, in-suite bathroom, whirlpool tub and separate shower. Everything was spotless, and there were thoughtful touches, like an electric fireplace, a small magnetic holder in the wall for its remote, and fluffy toilet paper. I’m already looking forward to another visit. Book well ahead for summer, since Spouter Inn B & B is popular for good reason.

It was hard to leave our clean, comfortable room and the peaceful atmosphere of the inn. Mark and Traci were friendly and accommodating, and the fresh-baked evening cookies were a thoughtful touch. The breakfasts were some of the most delicious I’ve had. The whole property is beautifully kept, with water views from all around. Downtown Camden was charming, with great shops, restaurants, and a stunning coastline. We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived and will definitely be back.

Tracy and Mark made sure our first Bed and Breakfast stay was relaxing and wonderful. They were warm and friendly without intruding, and their suggestions for things to do and places to go were spot on. The house is beautiful, the food incredible, and the view and location were just what we wanted. It’s clear they care a lot about the B&B and about giving guests a great stay. Thank you, Tracy and Mark! We love Maine and The Spouter Inn.

There are lovely places to sit outside, and after exploring nearby towns we were glad to have somewhere so relaxing to come back to. The house has beautiful views from everywhere and comfortable outdoor lounge areas. Mark and Tracy are clearly proud of what they do, and it shows in their hosting. Our room was immaculately clean, and the whole stay was fantastic. It’s one of my fondest memories from our Maine trip.
