Coronado Motel and RV Park

I had booked an April room online back in July and called to confirm, but when I arrived on the reserved date, they said they had no room and no record of my reservation. I can’t tell whether it was an honest mistake or incompetence or greed. Since demand in the area had risen, they may have made quite a bit more by giving my room to someone else, though I can’t know that for sure. I had to find somewhere else at the last minute, which cost a lot more, and I didn’t get checked in and to bed until very late. I wish I could give zero or negative stars. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate.

It fit my budget for a weekend visit with family, and the location was handy, just off Highway 4, about a quarter mile from the Linsburg walking trail and half a mile from downtown. They let me bring my dogs for an extra fee, too. The rooms were very clean, though the decor, tub, and tile could use updating. I would have liked the continental breakfast to be available again. It was a good stay, and I really enjoy visiting this cute town.

We’ve had a hard time finding hotels that welcome parrots while traveling across the country, but they were happy to have Sinbad here. Since we’re staying for three weeks, the man who checked us in was wonderful about setting up the room for a longer visit. It’s a bit dated, but spacious, very clean, and well stocked. I was surprised how quiet it was inside the RV park. The grounds are clean and cared for, the setting is lovely, and it feels safe. So far, it’s been a wonderful stay.

On a chilly winter night, I arrived to find the heat already on, which made the clean, quiet room feel warm and welcoming. The bathroom heat lamp also helped keep my bathwater warm longer. A very pleasant stay.
