The room was neat and clean, and I was very happy with my stay. I know this place may be considered older, but the food was truly absolutely amazing.

This is a great resource for Maritime personnel, with a convenient location and state of the art technology. It has classrooms and simulators, and you name it, they have it. There’s also a respectful memorial to those who sacrificed their lives in the industry.

I’m giving two stars because every staff member I encountered was pleasant and top notch. The dining options were eatable, and the bartender was very pleasant, though inexperienced. But for the price, I expected much more, and I’m only on day one of a weeklong stay. I’m seriously thinking about switching to one of the many nearby hotels. With so many good reviews, this isn’t what I expected. The place is old and very outdated, and I’m not confident my room was clean. There was nasty hair on the hand towel, something nasty in the toilet, and disgusting curtains. The bed is hard and the room smells weird. There’s an extension cord on the floor for plugging things in, no USB connections, and the TV channels are all fuzzy. It’s terrible.

I was at the Maritime Conference Center for a three day training class and really enjoyed my stay. The staff was helpful, the rooms were wonderful, the classrooms were nice, and the food was great. Fantastic place.

My favorite part was seeing the bartender leave the bar to help a patron who had become very inebriated. He helped the disoriented man find his room and walked him to the elevator and all the way there. That kind of compassion is hard to find, and it was great customer service. I was downstairs waiting on my DoorDash when I saw it. A few things to know about my room: the bathroom was small but accommodating, and the beds weren’t the usual luxurious hotel kind, though I could still get some rest. There was a large refrigerator in the room but no microwave. The microwave was downstairs by the snacks for purchase. On the fifth floor in the north tower, there was a real laundry room with washers and dryers, at no extra charge. The facility is widely used for training and has amenities that are hard to beat. They provide all three meals daily, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there’s an airport shuttle. I’m only speaking for my room. I’m posting pictures from when I walked in, along with the beautiful sunsets in the still chills of each evening.
