Knights Inn Litchfield

The room had a comfortable bed, plus a refrigerator and microwave, and I could count on the free Wi-Fi. Staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient, so check-in was easy. At the Knights Inn Motel in Litchfield, Minnesota, I found a clean, well-kept room and a handy indoor pool for unwinding. The location is convenient, close to the main highway and several places to eat. It's a practical, comfortable budget stay without luxury resort frills, and I'd consider coming back on another visit.

The pool was nice and the long-term tenants were friendly. It's cheap, but the place needs a good cleaning. The hot tub was out of service, and there were no working lights in the parking lot. I couldn't sleep well on the tiny 8"x12" pillows and small twin beds. The bathroom was so cramped my knees kept banging into things.

The owner/operator was really pleasant and helpful. But when we went to bed, my son's sheets were covered in bed bugs. I took pictures and showed them at the front desk. They gave me clean sheets to put on, but a clean sheet can't fix a mattress full of bugs.

The pool was nice, but the hot tub was empty with a rope tied across it. The breakfast they'd said they had turned out to be just old coffee. The place smelled musty and was very dusty, with cobwebs in room corners and dust and hair on the heat registers. Dust blew out when we switched on the AC. There were broken wall outlets, blood stains on the bedding, stained towels, and chipping paint. The toilet barely flushed.
