Motel 6 Litchfield, IL

I'm disappointed. The room wasn't properly cleaned, and the toilet hadn't been flushed. What was left in it was horrifying, even after flushing. They only gave us soap after we asked, and specifically said there was no shampoo. Each person got one flat, uncomfortable pillow. My partner couldn't sleep because we could hear everything in the hall, where staff were loud and gossipy. Around 3am, someone started juggling pots and pans. I stayed at the Baymont next door last time, and though it's generally more expensive, it felt clean and secure. Find somewhere else to sleep.

Every room I stayed in was nasty, with ashes everywhere and white power all over the floors. Walking on them turned my feet black. A lot of the lights didn't work, and it wasn't kid friendly like they claimed, since kids weren't allowed to be loud. The staff were rude and came to work in camis and pajama pants. Not professional. If I could, I'd give the place zero stars.

The young woman working was amazing, but the room this second time was dirty and smelled musty. It was a real disappointment, especially since our first stay was great and we had no complaints at all. Given the cost, I guess I can't complain too much.

As someone local to Litchfield who's lived here all my life, I've watched this hotel go downhill. My boyfriend and I found BED BUGS AND ROACHES in the bed, but they wouldn't contact the district or regional manager or try to refund us. When we asked to file an incident report, they told us the hotel has no such thing, which seemed pretty odd. We kept asking to speak to his manager, but the worker said it was "too early to call them" at around 7 am. My boyfriend had just finished a 16 hour shift and couldn't sleep afterward because of this. I also found hair from a previous guest in the bathtub. If I could give zero stars, I would. This is not a good place to stay.
