The Elm, a Ramada by Wyndham

Angela, the manager, made reserving a block of rooms easy, and Briana helped make sure all our guests got their gift boxes. We were in town for our daughter’s wedding, and having a complimentary room for the wedding party to do hair and makeup made the day much easier. The staff were kind and attentive throughout, which took a lot of stress off us as parents of the bride. We had a spacious King Suite with beautiful views, and the standard King Room was large too. Both were clean and comfortable for our family over the weekend. There are restaurants within walking distance, including Towers Tap House across the street. We liked their Philly Cheesesteak Fries, and my husband ordered The Elm’a pesto pizza twice. There’s also a play area for kids and a wake board park across the road. We didn’t get to try the bowling, axe throwing, or Stella’s Ice Cream nearby. The stay was convenient and memorable, and we’d happily return to the hotel and the charming town.

The noise was awful. I got almost no sleep and could hear everything, even the people next door just talking. It was kind of clean, and the bed was comfortable, but the pillows were bad. We didn’t try the restaurant. Honestly, I’d rather stay at motel 6 for the same experience, at least without a pet fee.

Checking in on the 4th floor is a nice touch, and the view up there is beautiful. The hotel is lovely and well kept, and it looked very clean both times I stayed. The staff were accommodating and great. George, Elaina and Dante were especially terrific and made my stay enjoyable. One housekeeper was great too, though I didn’t get her name.

There was red dye on my pillowcase, and it had been turned down so nobody would see it. When I brought it up, they said, “we don't do that.” So who did? Room service also felt a little sketchy, and some of the staff were unnecessarily rude. I wanted to like the hotel, but those moments were disappointing. I probably won’t stay again. To each their own.
