Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Livingston by IHG

Service was good and the bed was comfortable, so I slept well. The room was just okay, and the shower was a different story: it took about ten minutes to get hot, then went cold halfway through. There was no TV remote, so I had to go back downstairs. The tile in room 304 was badly broken, especially by the AC, where loose pieces were just lying there. One piece came up and almost tripped me.

The front desk women were nice, but the room was filthy. My sheets were stained, there were holes in the wall, and the toilet was crooked. I won't even get into breakfast. This doesn't meet the consistency I've come to expect from IHG. Sorry, I don't usually write these reviews, but I had to.

The staff were welcoming and very friendly, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. The room temperature felt just right to me, though my mom was cold. The bed was really comfortable.

The convenient location is close to Lake Livingston State Park and just minutes from town. The bedding and sheets were comfortable, but the room needed a deep clean on the tile floors, a new shower curtain, and window coverings long enough to cover the whole windows. I only got two hours of sleep, which was frustrating. I arrived in the afternoon and was assigned Room 206, in a terrible spot above two sets of the hotel's main sliding doors. Even though my member settings said I prefer to be away from ice and the elevator, and I told reception in three separate conversations that I needed a quiet room, the doors kept opening and closing all night like thunder. I tried running the AC cold nonstop, turning on the TV, and wearing earbuds, but none of it helped.
